On April 7, 2024, Rwanda, along with other countries with Rwandan embassies, will commence a week of mourning and 100 days of commemoration in memory of the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
In Belgium, the Rwandan Embassy will host this event, as it does annually. The ceremony will be held at the Genocide Memorial to the Tutsis in the Municipality of Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, located on Avenue Roger Vandendriessche in Brussels.

The event will feature the testimony of a survivor of the Genocide against the Tutsis, followed by a commemorative walk and an evening of remembrance.
The reception will begin at 9:30 AM and continue until 5:00 PM, with talks and testimonies scheduled from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
