As per information from the Polish President’s website, President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda together with his Spouse Agata Kornhauser-Duda will pay state visits on 6-8 February 2024 (Tuesday-Thursday) to the Republic of Rwanda. They will be received by the President of the Republic of Rwanda and his Spouse during the visits.
The visit is also anticipated to coincide with the official opening of the Polish embassy in Rwanda.
On the first day of his visit, the President of the Republic of Poland will engage in a one-on-one conversation with his Rwandan counterpart. Additionally, there will be a wreath-laying ceremony at the Rwandan Genocide Memorial Site conducted by the President of the Republic of Poland.
On the second day, the President of the Republic of Poland and his Spouse are scheduled to visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Word in Kibeho and the Center for Blind Children, also located in Kibeho
This visit underscores the commitment of both countries to enhance bilateral relations. Rwanda and Poland are already engaged in cooperation in sectors such as education and trade.
Preceding this visit, on December 5, 2022, Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Vincent Biruta, hosted Pawel Jabłoński, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, during his three-day working visit to Kigali.
